Dalina was born on a cold, winter day. She has lived and worked on farm all of her life. Although there are many jobs on the farm, Delina has decided that she likes feedin the chickens the best!
If you listen in the early mornin hours you will hear Delina callin out to the chickens....as they come running she will open her bag of seeds and spray the ground. Delina loves to see the chickens scatter here and there gobblin up as many seeds as they can before running back to the safety of the barn.
Now....as every farm girl knows.....sometimes a chicken just has to be caught! Delina has grabbed the plumpest chicken to put in the soup she is making for her sick gramma.
Daline is made from stained muslin and measures 34 inches tall. She has a pinched nose and eyebrows. Her mouth is handsewn to her face. Her hair is braided wool that I have hand-sewn to her head.
Dalina's homespun dress and apron are old and wrinkled from the long days of farm work.
Dalina had individual fingers and toes. She holds a bag of seed and a chicken both made of muslin. The bags is "filled" with chicken seed. Her chicken is painted black and grubbied.
You will just love Dalina and her chicken!
