Craft Classes |

Crafting Classes will be offered both on-line and in our shop.
The length of the class will be determined by the item we are making. We will schedule additional time if needed. I want to ensure everyone benefits from the class so we will work slow and take our time to complete an item that you will be very proud of!
Instructions will me e-mailed to on-line participants. Your instructions will be very detailed and will include photos. I will be sharing crafting tips and ask all of you to please share your ideas and suggestions as well. I intend for these classes to be a learning experience for all of us.
Classes will begin at 7:00 pm and will end at 9:00 p.m. Dates will be announced for each class.
I will be on-line accepting e-mails and interacting with participants during the class time. If, at any time, you should you have any questions or need clarification on any part of the instructions all you will need to do is send me an e-mail and I will respond immediatley. I will also be available by phone if anyone needs to talk to me.
Instructions will be e-mailed out at 6:30 p.m. Only the instructions for that night will be mailed. You are welcome to work ahead on your project but we do hope everyone waits for us. Each week we will be learning new techniques. If you work ahead you really lose the benefit of a class. Again, we will take our time completing this project so that each week you take away new skills and tips for completing primitive items.
If you will not be available to work on your craft the scheduled nights just send me an e-mail or call the shop and I will be happy to schedule some additional time to help you complete your project.
For each class you will receive a kit. In your kits there will be most of the items needed to complete your project. Some of the basic supplies are things you will want to start collecting. I will include a list of additional items you will need. Some of these items will be paint, brushes, staining solution, stuffing and items specific to the project. These are the items that would be most difficult for me to ship to you. We may only need a small amount of these items for this project but are items we will continue to use in up-coming classes. Before you know it you will have a nice supply of crafting supplies.
Once we complete our project, I will ask everyone to submit a picture of their finished item. I will then create an album in the gallery to share our projects with others. I plan to take pictures as we create our items in the shop. I will also post these pictures in the gallery.
At the conclusion of each class I will hold a drawing. All participates names will be put in a hat and we will draw one winner. That winner will receive their next class free! This will include instructional fees and materials for the project.
We sincerely hope you will join us for our crafting classes! We are excited about getting to know all of you better. We have so enjoyed the friendships we have made over the past two years and look forward to creating many more during these classes.
On-line participants can register for the class on our site. Click on Online Store and then again on Craft Class or you can send an e-mail to dbranson@theraggedfence.com and I will invoice you. Shop participants will need to call the shop at 217-544-3000 to register for this class. Space is limited for shop classes.
Once I receive your registration, I will e-mail you confirmation and any additional information you may need to participate in the class. Shop participants will receive payment instructions when they call to register. Registration Deadline will vary for each class. We will not accept sign-ups after registration has closed. We will need this time to put the kits together and get them mailed out to you. Shop participants will receive their kits on the first night of the class.
As we progress into the classes I will offer some classes for free. Participants will only need to purchase the kits.
